Practice hours you must practice for a minimum of 450 hours over the three years preceding the date of your application for renewal of your registration (900 hours if you are a nurse and a midwife).
If you decide not to revalidate you will not be able to practice in any capacity as a registered nurse or midwife.
This applies to all healthcare settings, not just the NHS.
This could be feedback from patients, service users, carers, students or colleagues.
Reflection and discussion You must record a minimum of five written reflections on the NMC Code, your CPD and practice-related feedback.
Health and character You must provide a health and character declaration and you must declare if you have been convicted of any criminal offence or issued with a formal caution over three years prior to the renewal of your registration.
